The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Collin County is a non-profit that actively supports children in the community affected by abuse or neglect. Via legal forensic interviews, family advocacy and support services, counseling and therapy, community education, and child welfare programs, the non-profit has been able to support vast populations of youth who have been victimized in our community through abuse or neglect. Though this organization originally began in a small part of Plano in 1992, it has grown massively since then to expand its services and protection to the youth in our community.
A crucial part of EFA’s mission is to aid youth emotionally and physically, and the beginnings of Enrich For All came in light of that goal. We sought to extend our support to youth who are in need of a wholesome and loving environment that can support their physical needs adequately and provide them with emotional safety, and that’s exactly what we were able to accomplish with The Child Advocacy Center of Collin County. So many kids go through family and domestic hardships at a very young age, which takes away from the enrichment and care they deserve as a part of their childhood and adolescence. While it’s so easy to take care and love for granted, it should truly be cherished and shared with those around you in every way possible. By providing and donating to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County to directly aid the kids they reach, we’ve been able to spread support in ways further than we could’ve imagined.
In order to work with the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Collin County and have our part in spreading love to the neglected youth they reach, EFA donated a variety of necessities for the young children to support their direct physical needs, alongside a few gifts to enrich their lives with an extra bit of joy. EFA raised numerous donations of clothes, (shirts, pants, sweaters, and shorts), books, toys, board games, and shoes from recent donation drives, and using the proceeds we collected from the St. Patrick’s Day brunch in March, we were able to put together gift bags with toys and trinkets to provide to the young kids as well. To make such a precious contribution to a part of the youth of our community who deserve the purest love and care in their childhoods was so special to us and extremely heartwarming. We are so grateful to all the local high schoolers of Collin county who supported our donation drives and helped us make a difference in the lives of these victimized youth.
