Our Target
The Smiles For All Initiative was based around the goal of making a contribution to the children that are marginalized and overlooked in most societies, and bringing true joy to their faces. This project was our first project as a nonprofit, so we started with a local fundraiser to foster a sense of community coherence among our peers and took the proceeds of this endeavor to a hometown community in India. We sought to make a direct contribution to the underpriveleged children of a speech and hearing impairment school in India, aiming to let each child know that they are cherished and valued for exactly who they are.

Our Target
Our target for this initiative were the children of the Government School for Speech and Hearing Impairment, located in a rural village in the city of Rajpipla, Gujarat. This institution is a nurturing education center and residential facility for students with special needs in speech and hearing up to 5th grade. It offers comprehensive learning programs tailored to their requirements, encompassing deaf education and sign language. This school is a wholesome and supportive environment, highlighting the importance of special-needs education programs for today's youth.

Desi Night was Eunoia For All's first fundraiser as a non-profit in May of 2023, and it served as a community event to foster cultural coherence and celebrate the DFW youth community. We not only to wanted raise money to support an underprivileged youth community In Gujarat but to celebrate our own local community and how far everyone has come in their high school journey. Desi Night was an evening full of games, cultural performances, and an open dance floor, with a final revenue of nearly 1k (86,000+ rupees). We are beyond excited to announce that Desi Night is now an annual DFW event that will take place in May every year (dates will be announced accordingly)!

All the t-shirts we distributed to the children were custom-made and printed with our Eunoia For All lotus, symbolizing strength and positivity. In addition, we treated them to a small celebration with ice cream and other sweets as a means to make our encounter with them memorable and joyful. We truly hope that our interaction with these kids will serve as a memory of optimism and a reminder of their strength.

Altogether, we are beyond delighted to have had the privilege of visiting youth that are often marginalized and given less acknowledgement than what they deserve. Spending time with these remarkable children was an experience that touched our hearts, and the genuine happiness that emanated from their faces was priceless. In alignment with our mission at Eunoia For All, the smiles on the faces of these kids served as a reminder of the profound impact even the smallest acts of kindness can have on one's life.

Rajasthan Initiative
The Rajasthan Initiative served as a small extension to our Smiles For All Initiative in 2023, where we took a small portion of the Desi Night proceeds to the streets of Rajasthan. We distributed meals to children and families undergoing poverty in the slums of Rajasthan, providing them with locally sourced fruits, rice, and nuts. It was the most wholesome experience to be able to fulfill a basic need for those children and their families, even if only for a day. This experience bolstered our takeaway with Smiles For All even further, and served as a continued reminder the impact the smallest gestures can have on an individual's everyday living.

what's new?
This year, we furthered our efforts by supporting both the young boys and girls of the school and providing them footwear, supplies, a wholesome time and treats this year as well! We are beyond thankful to have continued our initiative for this school after witnessing the beaming smiles on the faces of these students, and we are sure to continue to do so every year.
